Directing Traffic
It is expected 32,000 spectators to the World Championships in Vikersund this weekend; and, unfortunately, there isn’t room for everyone’s car at the arena. Therefore, it is important that someone keeps the order. Svein Aannestad has full control.
Fredrik Bjerkeengen First Man Out
The first test jumpers take off from 13:00. The first man out is Fredrik Bjerkeengen,who also flew here during last year’s Trial World Championships. Anders Set the Standard–New World Record
Anders Backe set this year’s first world record at Vikersundbakken. He skied backwards on his twin-tip skis, and managed to get up a speed of 128.7 km/hour in his second “run.” Good job, Anders; you have set the standard!
